Anyhow, I can get a lot of the well known classics from Netflix. However, some of the lesser known ones can be found on Youtube, actually. Some uploaders make their movies unlisted so they won't get taken down; they get spread by linking instead. Also: torrents. If the movie is lesser known you may find a copy but it can take a long time to download (sometimes up to weeks or months) but it's worth it if you really want to see it. thepiratebay.se has more of the general classics (they download pretty fast, a few hours at most) if you want rarer finds there are special classic film torrent websites that have a ton of them such as gorgomon or iloveclassics, but these websites only accept members on occasion. Also, you need a program to run these torrents, I recommend vuze. I hope that helped and if you want links or something just let me know. :)Riannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02944970449461089647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869591875570698529.post-22746207331631452552013-05-19T16:33:15.692-04:002013-05-19T16:33:15.692-04:00I love your blog and am so glad to find other clas...I love your blog and am so glad to find other classic movie fans. I have loved Greer Garson ever since I saw her in Random Harvest. She is gorgeous. I was wondering where you find all these old movies? I check Turner Classic movies religiously but often I have to wait forever to watch the movies i want. Do you have any suggestions? Is it good? And yeah, definitely watch some more Greer and tell me what you think. :) And for which to watch first: I think her best is probably Mrs. Miniver, though I haven't seen it yet. :) But the movie that made me a fan was Adventure, and though it's a half decent movie it's still a lot of fun to watch!

AuntHeathee- Oh, thank you! That means a lot, I try to review these well. I just want you to understand how happy I am...Okay. I just want you to understand how happy I am that you watched "Ball of Fire". That might sound weird, but I just A-D-O-R-E that movie. Anyway...I liked this post a lot. :) And I REALLY need to go watch some Greer Garson movies...Which one first?... :)Nataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10663789404590722274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869591875570698529.post-63635008567046507142011-11-06T18:43:41.267-05:002011-11-06T18:43:41.267-05:00Hahaha, first of all: it wasn't a crazy commen...Hahaha, first of all: it wasn't a crazy comment :) Because I'm just as excited to become a member of the Greer Garson Obsessive Society!! That's seriously what it feels like to me, I'm kind of in awe at people who aren't obsessed with her, haha! :D You're welcome and thanks for the link! I've started watching it and it looks interesting - Greer is brunette which is kind of strange but I'm excited to see it anyway. ;) And yeah, Pride and Prejudice and Mrs. Miniver are next on my list, I REALLY need to see both. "Smithy... Smithy... Paula... Paula!!!" * dries tears * :D

Thanks for the comment, Bette! :)Riannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02944970449461089647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5869591875570698529.post-2268644032691643142011-11-06T11:09:18.500-05:002011-11-06T11:09:18.500-05:00Rianna... Thanks for linking to those movies! I also found Mrs. Parkington on youtube at this adress: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRTs8k9rA-E, not sure what it's like though. Seriously, go and watch Pride And Prejudice (1940) if you haven't already! It's amazing. Just two words... "Smithy, Smithy..." *weeps to self* :'-(

~Bette
P.S. Sorry for the crazy comment :-DMadeleinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05051790494027585561noreply@blogger.com
