Frankly, My Dear, Search This Blog

Hi there:)

Well, this it... my first post!!

I'm excited to be writing this blog. A Blog like this is something I have been considering about doing for a while now, and now I'm glad I'm here, uhm, doing it!

I promise to update regularly. What will you see on this blog?? A lot of blogs about Old Hollywood stars, perhaps some trivia, surveys, etc. - we'll see what happens. You ask, "What about movie reviews?" I will feature movie reviews from time to time, but I already write a few on Netflix. As I write this, the website is being sort of screwy and I can't get an exact link to my reviews page. But once it's back to normal, I'll add the link here.

Of course, If a movie is absolutely amazing or terribly awful, chances are I'll most likely feature it here with a review and lots of pictures. But I want to focus mostly on other articles, too.

I LOVE Lucille Ball, so you'll probably see a ton of posts about her. As some may know, her 100th birthday is coming up August 6th!! I am SO thrilled! I plan to write a huge blog about her before, though, so I can proudly say I'm a member of the "Loving Lucy Blogathon." More on that later. (For more of my favorite actors, see "My Favorite Actresses and Actors.")

Well, that's about it... I love fashion, too, so you might see a few blogs on 20th century fashion occasionally. You might also see posts here about Princess Diana or Jackie Kennedy from time to time because I think they were very wonderful and inspiring ladies... but they're not movie stars, so that's why it's a head's up. One thing you will very likely NOT see here is any blogs pertaining to modern day movies and actors. I'm just not a fan of them - most of them, anyway. I guess there are a few exceptions. But still.

I am working on what I hope will be a fabulous website dedicated to Old Hollywood actresses. But it's not finished yet, so I'll reveal it when it is.

Yep, well, that's basically it. I hope you enjoy my blog :)

Just a random little photo!
I got this from everythinginspiring.com
and Picniked the "be lovely" and the heart myself!
I thought it was a little Old Hollywood inspired,
don't you?

Dear Rianna,

What a beautiful blog you have created. It is a small haven or an escape to the past. I am waiting for all the wonderful blogs about classic movies, fashion from the past.

My grand parents would have loved this blog. My elder sister Rita was named after Rita Hayworth by my paternal grand daddy who had massive crush on her. I also remember my paternal grand mother's dressing room which used to have beautiful pictures hung on the wall depicting the 1920's, 30's and beyond. Not to forget her dressing room full of beautiful jewels, silk and chiffon sarees and robes.

I love Cary Grant and Audery Hepburn. I didn't see anything about Katherine Hepburn or Lara Turner. I like them both too and would like to read your blog on them.

Will you expand your blog to reflect the International Classic movies? Bollywood movies would be nice too...hehehehehe.

Love,

Mommy

Darling Beautiful,

You must add Cary Grant's or William Holden or Gary Cooper's picture on your main page. For me...:)

Thanks,

Neeta

@Mommy,

Thank you for all the compliments!!! (: I'm so happy that my GREAT grandparents would have enjoyed this. I've actually thought that from what I have heard about them, I actually share some of their characteristics... I want a dressing room like that, too!

Yes, I know Rita masi was named after Rita Hayworth. I have always been jealous that she got to be named after an Old Hollywood star!

There will be tons and tons of posts about lots of Old Hollywood movie stars. I plan to write about EVERYBODY - I won't be doing many movie reviews as I already do it on Netflix, so most of this will be about Old Hollywood stars. Katharine Hepburn is one of my favorites, too (I plan to do a blog on my ten very favorite actresses) soon.

Haha - I don't know much about Bollywood movies, but who knows? I could do an interesting blog on B&W Indian movies. We'll see ;)

Love you!!

Darling Lovely,

Your name is very beautiful and even though it doesn't date to old classic movies times it is a Celtic name meaning "Great queen" borrowed from the Welsh. I liked the Greek name Ria and your dad added Anna to make it Rianna. Later we found out that it was a Celtic name. It is a beautiful name and you are a pure reflection of your name. Elegant, classy, beautiful, super intelligent, great sense of humor, good baker, very fashionable and the list goes on....

As far as you having your dressing room like my grand mother's ...hmmm...your bedroom is set on Breakfast at Tiffany's theme...Perhaps you can decorate your bathroom if you want.

Hey, as far as Bollywood movies are concern my friend Movie Director Sanjivan Lal's movie named Bubble Gum (about teenage love set in the 80's) is coming out. Once it is out here in USA you can blog about it.

Love,

Mommy

Hi Beta,

The movie Bubble Gum is based in the 80's (classic times..wink, wink)and more than teenage love.

I know this blog will evolve movies from all eras and genre.

Mommy
