I don't really think you can have a movie haul because you can only watch one movie at a time. But since Netflix is the bread and butter of my movie watching life, I usually keep my queue filled with movies awaiting to be watched. Actually: for a movie buff, my queue is probably pretty small... at the moment, it's currently 29, but that crumples to the 100 and something my dad has in his queue. But the thing is you know I only get to watch movies over the weekend so my queue is always full for me, with me adding a bunch of movies from time to time. (What I'm trying to say is: my queue never runs dry.)
The bottom line is I'm going to tell you what I've got in my queue right now. You'll probably be seeing reviews for these in the near future but don't be afraid to jump in and tell me what you thought of these (if you've seen them).
I would like to say this is in no particular order, but actually this is in chronological order though I change it frequently depending on my mood. (Like I've got "Psycho" in first place right now for Halloween). So take it anyway you want, really. ;)
- Psycho (1960): Janet Leigh, Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles
- The Dark Corner (1946): Lucille Ball, Clifton Webb, Mark Stevens... (like the only Lucy movie at Netflix I haven't seen yet).
- Jezebel (1938): Bette Davis, Fay Bainter, Jack Norton
- The Rainmaker (1956): Burt Lancaster, Katharine Hepburn
- A Place In the Sun (1951): Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor
- Dark Victory (1939): Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart
- The Yellow Rolls Royce (1964): Ingrid Bergman, Rex Harrison
- Strangers on a Train (1951): Farley Granger, Ruth Roman
- Follow the Fleet (1936): Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers (and Lucy and Betty Grable appear as extras, too :D)
- City Lights (1931): Charlie Chapman, Virginia Cherrill
- With Six You Get Eggroll (1968): Doris Day, Brian Keith
- I'll Be Seeing You (1945): Ginger Rogers, William Dieterle
- Marjorie Morningstar (1957): Natalie Wood, Gene Kelly (I'm trying to get through the book first.)
- The Star (1950): Bette Davis, Sterling Hayden, Natalie Wood
- Mr. and Mrs. Smith (1941): Carole Lombard, Robert Montgomery
- Deception (1946): Bette Davis, Paul Henried
- Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948): Myrna Loy, Cary Grant
- Mrs. Miniver (1942): Greer Garson, Walter Pidgeon
- Random Harvest (1942): Greer Garson, Ronald Colman
- The Night of the Iguana (1964): Deborah Kerr, Ava Gardner, Richard Burton
- Grand Hotel (1932): Greta Garbo, John Barrymore, Joan Crawford
- Only Angels Have Wings (1939): Cary Grant, Jean Arthur, Rita Hayworth
- Titanic (1953): Barbara Stanwyck, Clifton Webb, Robert Wagner
- You Can't Take it With You (1938): Jimmy Stewart, Jean Arthur
- Made for Each Other (1939): Jimmy Stewart, Carole Lombard
- Possessed (1947): Joan Crawford, Van Heflin
- A Star is Born (1954): Judy Garland, James Mason
- The Killers (1946): Ava Gardner, Burt Lancaster
- Raintree Country (1957): Elizabeth Taylor, Montgomery Clift
I think the most common actress in there must be Bette Davis - I have a ton of Bette films! And the ones I'm probably most excited for are:
- "A Place in the Sun" (as luck would have it, there is a wait... grrr!)
- "Dark Victory"
- "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"
- "Mrs. Miniver"
- "The Killers"
- "A Star is Born"
But you know, I'm always pretty much excited to see any classic movie. :)
I hope this post wasn't boring and remember, if you've seen any of these twenty-nine films feel free to jump in with your opinion of it!!
Since I don't like my posts to be photo-less (I was going to put in movie posters but then I realized this post would just become humongous), I'll leave you with...
Veronica Lake all dressed up for Halloween (you know, to get us in the mood for the holiday). :D
Ciao!

Oooh! Fun! Follow the Fleet (1936) is one I love. I ADORE both "You Can't Take it With You" and "Random Harvest". "Titanic" looks like the only Stanwyck on there, but it's good too. :)
I agree with Natalie, "You Can't Take it With You" is amazing. About "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"... happens to be that I was expecting a very "Hitchcocky" movie because I didn't know it actually is a comedy. It was a funny shock, and I enjoyed it.
I love "Dark Victory". Oh, and "Grand Hotel". The first All-Star-Cast movie ever. And what a cast!!
I'm simply dying to watch "The Yellow Rolls Royce". Ingrid is calling me :D
And I can't tell you all my opinions because this would get long, so good bye.
By the way, I loved your Fred and Ginger tribute.
Natalie - Yeah, they look quite good to me and I'm excited to watch them! :D My dad told me Titantic is really good so I'm looking forward to it. I think Ball of Fire is on Netflix Instant, so I'm going to check that out soon, too. (You know, because I need to catch up on my Stanwyck.). :)
Carmen - Haha, what a shock you must have had! lol. But it being a comedy (and alas, Hitchcock's ONLY comedy) makes me even more excited to check it out... can't wait to see what it's like. (Plus it's Carole Lombard and I've really been loving Carole lately). I know, what a cast for Grand Hotel, right?? And The Yellow Rolls Royce may turn out to be an awful movie or something but you know, I'm willing to do it for Ingrid :D Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!! :)
Great list! Mrs. Miniver and Random Harvest are amazing and so is Only Angels Have Wings. The Bette Davis ones are all pretty good too! Have great fun watching them all :-D

Thanks, I'm excited! :D And I think I'm really going to like Greer Garson.. they were showing one of her movies on TV last night and I adored her in it so I can't wait to see more! :)
